This is also one of the articles given to us. I really like it for it inspired me more to achieve what I always dream in life. Hope you enjoy it!

Success is not the result of spontaneous combustion. You must set the fire.

If others do the 50 push ups, you do 51.

If they go the extra mile, you go the extra 10.

If they are fast, be faster.

If they are smart, be brilliant.

If they have the bigger hammer,  you have the sharper nail.

Don’t solve problems, anticipate them.

Don’t promise results, get them.

Treat every challenge as an opportunity in work clothes.

Know that well done is better than well said.

That it’s not just the hours you put in, but what you put in hours.

Let others dream of accomplishments. You stay awake and do them.

Believe you can’t be beaten and you won’t be beaten.

That there is plenty of room from the top, but not enough to sit down.

It’s easy to put these words down on paper. Start putting them into practice… and excel more.

When I read this article, I knew that I should post and share it to everyone. This was given by our seniors to us first year accountancy students for our ‘then’ coming qualifying examination (March 1, 2008). Well, here it goes:

You say: ‘It is impossible.’

God says: ‘All things are possible.’

You say: ‘I am tired.’

God says: ‘I will give you rest.’

You say: ‘Nobody really loves me.’

God says: ‘I love you; I gave my life for you.’

You say: ‘I can’t go on.’

God says: ‘My grace is sufficient.’

You say: ‘I can’t figure things out.’

God says: ‘I will direct your steps.’

You say: ‘I can’t do it.’

God says: ‘You can do all things.’

You say: ‘It’s not worth it.’

God says: ‘It will be worth it.’

You say: ‘I can’t forgive myself.’

God says: ‘I forgive you.’

You say: ‘I can’t manage.’

God says: ‘I will supply your needs.’

You say: ‘I am afraid.’

God says: ‘I have not given you the spirit of fear.’

You say: ‘I am always worried and frustrated.’

God says: Cast all your cares on Me.’

You say: ‘I don’t have enough faith.’

God says: ‘I’ve given everyone a measure of faith.’

You say: ‘I’m not smart enough.’

God says: ‘I give you wisdom.’

You say: ‘I feel alone.’

God says: ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you.’

In the Philippines, the National Schools Press Conference (NSPC) is always held at least once a year. This is a contest where responsible journalism is exercised by the youth, and where the art of writing is praised.

This year, the province of South Cotabato held the said competition. Participants throughout the country gathered and competed here.

It was quite a preparation especially here in Marbel. Banners, tarpaulins and other stuffs were already plastered in different areas even in late January. The competition started from February 18 – 21 of 2008. I heard delegates were housed not only here in the different schools of Marbel, but also in other places of the province. That’s why my brothers didn’t went go [courtesy of anynomouse:)] of anto school for a week. Darn.

NSPC’08 MatrixAnyway, it started with a parade, which, unfortunately, I didn’t saw see [courtesy of anynomouse:)] since there’s our “loving” subject Research waiting for us. Jamps told me that Sam Concepcion was there as a guest or I think an ambassador or something. Well, he sure wasn’t in the pics taken by Ryx. This one in the left was taken by Alvin. To view his site with the other NSPC pics, click this link: wickedwits.wordpress.com

The night after that, I heard many cheers coming from the SMRAA Complex (Sorry, I forgot what the acronym represents) and I saw the delegates cheering or something. Well, I was given the privileged to take peek but I refused. Couldn’t blame myself. I was tired.

Delegates can be seen everywhere for almost a week. Finally, the awarding took place last Thursday at the South Cotabato Gym and Cultural Center. At last. Hehehe.

Well, that’s it. Can’t type no more. Cheerio!

P.S. thanks to anynomouse:) for the comment. Helped me a lot. For more criticisms with regards to the grammar and the like, please free to comment. Mystery talaga kung paano ako naka survive sa elem at high school… hay…

I know this line sucks, but again, I was spending my night trying to do my assignment when I saw a movie with Ben Stiller showing in Star Movies (actually, this was before I saw the Next movie). I then remembered that the movie Night at the Museum was going to be aired that time.

It was a joy that I was able to see the earlier parts of the movie. Starring Ben Stiller, Robin Williams, Owen Wilson and others, this is one extraordinary tour in a place where “history becomes alive.”

I like history and its intriguing secrets. Not to mention personalities who, even though weren’t famous, did amazingNight at the Museum things. So I guess I should like a museum where statues and replicas become so real. Not to mention a hilarious bodyguard in the form of Ben Stiller. Read the rest of this entry »

It was a night that should have been spent with my assignments and accounting again, but this one just showed up, and since Cage have starred in one of my favorite movies – the National Treasure series , I gave this movie a shot.

NextI thought that it was cool, with the character of Cage as a man who can see his own future for two minutes.

Starring Nicolas Cage, Julianne Moore, and Jessica Biel, the story revolves around a clairvoyant and his escapes from both the FBI and the terrorists.

Going straight to the point. After watching this, I say it’s either unfinished or just so… err.. incomplete? I’m not gonna be harsh like the professionals do, I’m no expert at all. But as a moviegoer who loves the essence of a story, I really cannot understand the message of the movie except that ‘If you can see the future, it will change because you have seen it.’ Read the rest of this entry »

First of all, I just want to have this post to remind me all the movies that I have encountered within these past few days for me to make my reviews ’bout them.

Here they are:

  1. Next
  2. Night at the Museum
  3. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
  4. National Treasure 2
  5. The Mask of Zorro

And many to mention. But I want this top five for my reviews. They are such temptations since my nights to spend for accounting were spend to watching them and other tv shows as well.

I hope that I can really make reviews for these!

It was 1:00 in the morning and I cannot sleep so I’ve decided to answer our math assignment. It’s always my habit to have the television turned on to keep myself alive. Well, I guess I made a mistake.

It wasn’t too long for me to realize that my favorite movies were being shown that night, err I mean that morning.
I was quite late with Harry Potter and The Legend of Zorro. I also encountered Zathura: The Space Adventure but I decided to watch something else. Finally, the mm19 channel presented one of my favorite movies, well I guess of all times – the National Treasure.

National Treasure

Starring Nicolas Cage, Diane Kruger and Justin Bartha, their adventure with the history and its treasure put my eyes and ears hooked up. The codes, its meanings, and historical events woven made it seem real and well enough to believe.

I’m not really good at making reviews with movies and all, but I believe that you shouldn’t need to be an expert to see that it has the elements needed in a good story. Well, that’s really what I’m after – a really, really good story that could make me laugh and cry at any moment. Read the rest of this entry »

After 48 years or so I believe, the blogs are quite finish. At least. All I need now are good posts. I’ve planned some but I dunno. I guess I’m bored.

I really hope that I can think of something. Meanwhile, here’s a poster of the National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets. I know it’s sort of late, but I really like it!national treaure 2

It really took me a long time to realize that I need to separate my personal blog to the blog that I dreamed to make – a sort of an info blog where certain information can be found.

Well, I’m still in the process of what to write and midterms are currently on so I cannot give this a full time. And costly (since I do not have a PC.)

I really hope I can do something about it!

Sincerely Yours,

Sheiks
